Sprint Exacta in Fine Fettle
GI Breeders’ Cup Sprint winner Runhappy (Super Saver) returned to his home at the Thoroughbred Training Center in Lexington Saturday and was in good form Sunday morning, according to trainer Maria Borell. “He went home last night to get a good night’s sleep in his own stall,” Borell. “He came out of the race well. We don’t have exact plans; we wanted to see how he comes out of the race. We will figure it out in a few days.”
Runner-up Private Zone (Macho Uno) will join trainer Jorge Navarro’s string in Florida with a possible defense of his GI Cigar Mile title in mind. “He came out in great condition,” Navarro said.
